Argentina Meat Processing Facility Cleans Oil and Wet Routes Separately

A 12,000 m² meat packaging and frozen food facility needed more than a stronger cleaning machine.

Its slaughter area, cooked food lines, cold storage entrances, and transfer corridors were creating different floor problems, but the team was still trying to manage them through one night-cleaning routine.

Floor Conditions Across a Meat Processing Facility in Argentina

The facility operates in Argentina, with meat packaging, cooked food processing, finished goods cold storage, and cold-chain transfer corridors on mostly epoxy flooring.

Moisture, grease splash, blood water, seasoning residue, and forklift traffic moved through the plant in different ways. The hardest areas were not all dirty for the same reason.

Limits of a Single Night-Cleaning Routine

Before the equipment change, the facility used one manual sanitation sequence across zones with significantly different soil loads.

Hot-water mopping, scraper-based oil removal, and dirty-water recovery shared the same nightly route, so the team treated heavy-residue production floors and wet cold-chain corridors as one job when each needed its own recovery step.

Equipment Assigned by Floor Condition

The facility stopped trying to run one routine across three different floor conditions and split the equipment by what each area was actually dealing with:

  • 2 units of L520B assigned to the slaughter workshop and cooked food processing areas
  • 1 unit of XD20WE covering cold-chain transfer corridors and wet buffer routes

Manual tools stayed in the plan for edge work and spot treatment, but the main cleaning load shifted to the machines.

04 / Measurable Results

Changes to Cleaning Time, Staffing, and Route Planning

Before the change, the main night-cleaning routine ran six workers for around four hours.

After deployment, the primary machine route took approximately 2.5 hours with two to three operators, with manual touch-up to handle the edges.

The time difference was real, but the bigger shift was operational. The team stopped rebuilding the cleaning plan from scratch each night.

Seams, corners, edges, and problem spots stayed within the regular route, so manual work supported the machines rather than carrying the full floor load before inspections.

We previously treated the production floor, cold-chain corridor, and storage areas as one cleaning route. Separating the equipment by floor condition gave our team a clearer daily sequence for oily residue, wet tracking, and lighter storage-area maintenance.
